Very keen on studying, Muskaan was always one of the top three scorers in class. Coming from a very conservative family, her father was not very supportive of educating her and she almost discontinued school.

Muskan Afreen joined DSF at 9 th grade. Very keen on studying, Muskaan was always one of the top three scorers in class. Coming from a very conservative family, her father was not very supportive of educating her and she almost discontinued school. An alcoholic, he didn’t provide much support to the family. Her sister, although a very bright student, was forced to discontinue her degree to take up employment and support the family. Her mother often suffers from health issues but is a strong support for the Muskaan and her sister. With all these challenges, Muskaan scored 95% in her 10 th standard. Reserved and shy, Muskaan is quietly determined to complete her education and become an engineer.
