Holistic School Development Programme
The focus of the our intervention at the school level is to enhance the learning levels of the children studying at the government schools through support and partnership with teachers, active participation of the community coupled with intensive class room and school level interventions through trained personnel and teachers. We believe that these interventions will create
an environment and processes, which will ensure holistic development and enhanced performance of the school.
DSF believes in the holistic development of the school. We employ a good mix
of management and development practices in order to develop a school and systems
qualitatively.
The process and components involved in achieving the holistic development involved in are:
- Diagnostic through structured Interview and audit process
- Alignment meetings with stakeholders and Goal Setting
- Commitment Workshops to solicit participation and responsibility of all the players associated with the school
- Initiation of aligned interventions through School Support Team
- Assessment and Review to capture the effectiveness of the interventions
- Learning incorporation to streamline the process and way forward
- System Creation in order to make the programme sustainable with less support or no support from external agencies
In the long term, these interventions could prove to be the most effective means of driving change in the working of government schools across our country, by ensuring a better quality of education and learning, by providing role models, appropriate exposure and guidance to the children from a very young age.
