Dream School Foundation was established in Bangalore, India in 2005 by a group of passionate volunteers. Through our work, we strive to break the cycle of the socio- economic vulnerability of children and families, and help them to help themselves, through equity and quality in education.
Sagayaraj has many years of experience in Community Based Rehabilitation for persons with disability. He is passionate to contribute for the development of inclusive society where every human life is valued with special focus on marginalized groups. He coordinates our HeadStart programme and contributes to the holistic school development programme in the govt. interface & community participation initiatives. He is also responsible for the technical support required for our computer aided and audio visual programmes apart from executing administration and accounts responsibilities of the organization.
Bhama is an M.E. in Computer Science from IISc Bangalore in 1990, and an MS in Computer Science from McGill University Canada, in 1992. She has been working as a software consultant/engineer for various IT companies. She has a passion for pure sciences, especially physics and mathematics. She started a science club for children at IISc in 1999 to help them discover, experience and enjoy science. She joined DSF with an aim to spread her passion and energy to the science learning of the underprivileged children.
Girija is a software engineer and has worked in reputed IT companies with a long stint of 14 years at HP. As a PMP certified professional, she has managed large projects and has participated in various quality (ISO, SEI CMMi) initiatives of the company. After about 19 years in the Software industry, she decided to pursue her passion for teaching. She started her journey with DSF as a volunteer to teach Science and Math. Over the period she has taken responsibility of managing DSF’s learning level Enhancement programmes at schools and centres. She is the lead for the Ten Plus as well as mentoring programmes.
Maitreyee started her career as software professional and worked with multinational software development firms in India and abroad for 8 years before she made a shift towards social development. Her desire for social change and interest in child development urged her to join CRY (Child Rights and You).
She worked with CRY in the resource generation and volunteer management divisions for nearly a decade and was instrumental in setting up and coordinating the Volunteer Action division. Educated at Pune University (Masters in Computer Science), Maitreyee provides leadership and direction to the organization and is primarily responsible for the overall management and administration of the organization.
Sabu is a facilitator, educator, executive coach and organizational change management consultant who has worked globally covering oil and gas, higher education, manufacturing and non-profits.For the last 25+ years, he has helped senior leaders and management teams expand communication, collaboration, engagement, performance improvement, and transform their organizations through increased efficiencies. Sabu holds Postgraduate Qualifications in Social Work, Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management. He is a recipient of the Commonwealth Secretariat scholarship in Environmental Education. Sabu’s passion is unleashing human potential and take transformative action that will deliver breakthroughs for disadvantaged children and communities.
